As the wheel of the year turned, the season changed to Mabon, the Autumn Equinox. It’s a time for reflection and gratitude. After a particularly rough start to the week I sat down, candles lit and incense burning, to celebrate the change of year and with pen in hand spent the next two hours thinking of all the blessings I have in my life and reasons to be grateful. After this meditation and brainstorming session I felt the week started to flow better, the earlier tribulations, although still present, were not quite as vexing and I felt a little less hopeless. On Friday I received some good news and a surprise visit from my other heart, so perhaps the saying is true, “a grateful heart is a magnet for miracles.” So with this in mind I go forward with light and love and a grateful heart. Wishing everyone a blessed and wonderful Mabon.
